Actually if they had been able to hear it, they would have realised that it was actually the crappest radio show they’d ever heard. But we had fun.

After an exhausting year promoting The J-Team and the new GU2 radio station, GU2 actually launched. The new media format for The University of Surrey was there.

Over my years involved with the station, I presented The J-Team Classic, Mental’s Institution, Mental’s Early Breakfast, Barefacts Live and The Scoot and Duncan Show. I also worked in the positions of Head of Marketing, Programme Controller and Head of News.

I love student radio. The rotation of staff on an annual basis helps create a uniquely evolving product and there really is no better training ground for radio skills.
